EuroPCR course 2025

As part of its ongoing efforts to raise awareness of the paramount importance of prepared and resilient cardiovascular care pathways ahead of future crises, and to increase the visibility of the RESIL-Card project, We CARE organised awareness and communication activities at this year’s EuroPCR course

EuroPCR is the world’s leading course in cardiovascular medicine. Held annually in Paris, France, in May, it attracts over 12,000 participants from around the globe, making it a key event for laying the groundwork for the comprehensive dissemination and scaling up of project results in 2026.

For this edition, a press release was published on the Eurekalert platform and the PCR press portal on the first day of the course to raise awareness of the project among journalists covering the event. The EuroPCR Daily Wire published a full-page article providing an update on the project’s progress and current activities and highlighting the 60-minute session scheduled for that afternoon, titled ‘Resilience and continuity of cardiovascular care in times of crisis: the RESIL-Card project’.

This event gave members of the consortium the opportunity to present and discuss the project and its rationale with the audience, and to showcase the recently developed resilience assessment toolkit and future plans until the project’s conclusion.

Finally, an interview with leading physicians involved in the project was recorded in the PCR studio. They provided an update on project progress and next steps, emphasising the importance of preparedness and encouraging all professionals engaged in cardiovascular care to adopt the tool. Throughout the course, slides were displayed during the intersessions to raise awareness of the key proactive role that every cardiovascular healthcare professional has to play in ensuring their care pathway is prepared to provide continuity of lifesaving cardiovascular care in times of a new crisis.
